Mom charged with throwing baby out of Bronx window: Cops
The FDNY said the baby was dead when emergency responders arrived.

The baby was covered in blood when found by the superintendent’s wife, who was cleaning. However, according to CBS, the infant was “likely” born in an apartment on the building’s seventh floor, and “likely” fell from that height.
Berry’s home is listed as Gailmore Drive in Yonkers. “He’s a good man”, she said. She was out cleaning up the courtyard area when she came across the horrific sight.
Meanwhile, Mr Giovanni said he “didn’t know” about the pregnancy, claiming Ms Berry had told him she had undergone an abortion a few months ago.
“I suspected she was pregnant, but I didn’t know for sure”, Ms Berry’s stunned mother said.
It was unclear how much time elapsed between the baby’s birth and her fall from the window, officials said.
She said the newborn wasn’t breathing when she threw the baby – and the placenta – from the window, police said.
Berry was taken into custody shortly after the baby was discovered and initially denied having ever been pregnant, the Daily News wrote.
Police are investigating the incident and the woman who is believed to have birthed the child is now under police supervision at a local hospital.

The building’s owners, PRV Realty Group told Associated Press that fifty people now live in the apartments. Police are trying to uncover the motive for the baby’s death.
