The lenient sentence outraged the nation, but then photos surfaced online of Ethan Couch violating the terms of his probation by drinking at a party. She and her son Ethan fled to Mexico a year ago after video surfaced apparently showing him at a party with alcohol – a probation violation.
Records show Couch was released from house arrest on Tuesday, but still must wear an ankle monitor.
Darrell Collins, the owner of Honky Tonk Woman, and Couch’s attorney confirmed to WFAA-TV (Channel 8) that she’s been working there.
Tonya Couch, the mother of the “affluenza” teen who fled to Mexico with her son, is back on her feet – especially during happy hour – tending bar. Staff said on a now-deleted Facebook post that they were unaware of her history when they hired her. Nothing in her bond conditions limits her from serving alcohol, though.

The pair was later caught in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, after she made the mistake of using her cell phone to order Domino’s Pizza.
