Mom of U.S. Military Member Booed by Pro-Trump Crowd

“Some really fantastic Gold Star families”, Trump said as he searched for the families in the crowd. The document contained a transcript of Trump’s appearance on ABC’s “This Week” as well as talking points on Russian Federation and the email hack at the Democratic National Committee. Trump’s attacks on the Khan’s has outraged both sides of the aisle, as well as many who have served and sacrificed for our nation.

The Khan family is Muslim, and the husband, Khizr Khan, spoke at the Democratic National Convention about his son’s sacrifice. Instead, the controversy has sparked the opposite response.

Donald Trump has blustered his way to the Republican primaries, clinching the nomination. On Monday, Arizona Senator John McCain, who spent time as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, wrote, “I can not emphasize enough how deeply I disagree with Mr. Trump’s statement”.

Khan lamented that with Trump’s policies, his son will not be in the US.

Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, indirectly slammed Trump. Khizr Khan had sharply criticized Trump during the Democratic National Convention a few days before. “The Gold Star club is a club that no mother, no parent wants to become a part of because it represents that that family has made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of this country by losing a son or daughter in combat”.

“Let’s demand the media listen to and honor all of the families of the fallen in this country”, he said.

During the vice presidential nominee’s campaign stop, Byrne asked Pence how he could tolerate what she said was Trump’s disrespect for American service members. Hanna is not running for re-election.

Trump has tweeted multiple times defending his remarks. “Who wrote that? Did Hillary’s script writers write it?”

“He said: ‘It’s more money than we can afford, but I want you to have it for your campaign.’ And I think it’s incredible”. “I thought he was very respectful of me personally but I don’t think he did much to answer the question”.

The group said Trump’s characterization of Khan’s mother – suggesting in an appearance on ABC that she stood silently during her husband’s speech because her religion forbids her from speaking publicly – “is vile beyond words”.

As for the military mom, you can see her ask her question and later speak out to MSNBC on her experiences at the rally (below)!
