Monk wants reaction after ‘agenda’ talk
Garry Monk has promised a show of unity from his players as Swansea attempt to get their season back on track against Bournemouth.

Monk’s side have struggled to maintain the form which led to Monk being named one of the most promising young managers in the game last season.
The Cherries have lost their last five matches in the spin in all competitions and have lost four of their last six against Swansea (D1-L1).
Asked whether he had taken what was described as a “crisis call” from Jenkins the day after Swansea’s last game, a 1-0 defeat at Norwich on November 7, Monk said that was simply not the case.
Bafetimbi Gomis, goalless in eight, trades 9/2 to open the scoring and inspire a Swans revival.
“I don’t need anyone to tell me that and no one has told me that”.
“I’m fully aware how important the game is, but I’ll let other people say whether it is (must-win) or not”. “It’s so wide of the truth”.
“You have to get results and if you don’t do that your job comes under threat”.
“I am afraid that after our rise over recent years and our continued involvement in the Premier League, I am convinced that there are plenty of people sitting waiting to have their say against us if our performance levels start to drop”.
“I have considered the situation in my own head and no-one puts more pressure on me than myself and no-one has been more frustrated than me with this period and run of results”.
“What you learn from management in recent years is that if you’re not getting results, it obviously creates pressure”.
“Look, I’ve got a fantastic relationship with the chairman and he’s very supportive towards me, I’ve said this before”, Monk said, ahead of the return of club football after the global break, where Swansea host Bournemouth.

Monk also rejected suggestions his assistant Pep Clotet is set to leave south Wales to take over at Brentford. It is speculation. I am not surprised, Pep has helped me so much and been a real factor in what we have done here. “We know we are not all going to be here forever but we are focused on Swansea and continuing the good job we have done and he is as committed as I am”.
