On Saturday, Tiffany Wienke has made the biggest alligator catch on record in Mississippi. Tiffany Wienke and five other people managed to take down an alligator that was the longest gator caught in public water.

Spanning 13 feet 7 7/8 inches and weighing 686 pounds, the alligator, as confirmed by Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, is one-eighth longer than the previous record.

‘He ran us – literally crashed us – into some trees and bank-to-bank.

Wienke, who was only on her third alligator hunting quest said it was the biggest alligator she have ever seen. “But once you hook into something that big and you experience that controlled chaos you’re at that animals mercy”, says Wienke.

Alligator hunting is done in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Texas as a way to keep gator populations under control. But we’re completely happy with this, ‘ she said.

‘There’s definitely other alligators out there that can exceed this.

The monster gator was sold and will be processed for its meat and skin. Wieke said it doesn’t pay much, but she enjoys the hunt.
