In an April 3 Facebook post, the almost 15-foot alligator is shown hoisted with a John Deere bulldozer.
Two hunters in the United States have shot what they claimed to be the biggest alligator they have ever come across in the wild.
Lightsey’s son Mason, who is also seen in the photograph, says catching the alligator was not a scary experience at all.
The image is going viral.
“There’s a lot of folks saying that, but it’s 100% real”.
An 800lb alligator was recently shot in Okeechobe, Florida on Saturday.
Outwest Farms owner Lee Lightsey, reached by phone Tuesday (April 5) night, said he has not measured the gator and does not know the creature’s exact size.
Southern Florida is reputed to be the only place in the world where both alligators and crocodiles live alongside each other in freshwater environments such as rivers, lakes and swamps. Taxidermy, Lightsey says. Any meat that the hunter doesn’t take will be donated to charity.

The Outwest Farms website advertises hunts for “gators of all sizes”, from 4 to 13 feet, with a price of $10,000 for a hunting package including a gator of 13 or more feet.
