Each of these figures will unlock a special monster when scanned into the game. The Amiibos include: “One-Eyed Rathalos and Rider (Female)” and “One-Eyed Rathalos and Rider (Male)” for 1,800 yen each, and “Nabiru” for 1,200 yen.

Monster Hunter Stories is an upcoming turn-based RPG with a much larger emphasis on storytelling than previous games in the series. The Felyne amiibo will retail for 1200 yen (U.S $11) while the two dragon riders will come in at 1800 yen or roughly $16. Capcom is planning to release a second set of Amiibos this winter.

The Monster Hunter Stories anime, which we now know will be called Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On, will premiere on Fuji TV in October – with a new episode to be broadcast every Sunday at 8.30am GST.
