Monster Hunter X adds Amatsumagatsuchi

Monster Hunter X (pronounced “Cross”) will let you play as a cat.

One of these which is of great interest to us is Capcom’s Monster Hunter Stories, a spin-off game with a very different art style to the classic Monster Hunter series which we know and love.

Your adventure will begin in a monster rider village, but the boy soon decides to join a hunter society where he experiences adventurers that view monsters far differently to him.

Nyanters will also be weaker than humans, but will be balanced with more defensive abilities such as the aforementioned burrowing according to a separate Capcom video.

It would also appear that you can hunt in multiplayer as a Palico as well.

Monster Hunter X is launching for 3DS in Japan on November 28th. No western release has yet been announced, but that’s not unusual as these games are massive and tend to take a while to get localised.

Specialized Nyanter attacks such as a boomerang(more powerful than the ones created by humans) and a digging ability sets them apart from hunters and will give series veterans something other than the typical weapon or monster to look forward to. Of course, by then it was released in its “Ultimate” version with loads of extra content.
