Montana’s Unemployment Rate Remains at 4 Percent for November
In Lake County the unemployment rate in November increased to 6.2 percent, from 5.9 percent in October (7.8 percent in November 2014).

The recent jobless rate is less than half the 12 percent unemployment rate the area saw during the worst of the recession.
Ohio’s unemployment rate inched up to 4.5 percent last month, but employers statewide added 9,900 jobs, marking the second month in a row of solid job gains, according to figures released by the ODJFS.
California’s unemployment rate fell to 5.7 percent in November, according to data released this week by the California Employment Development Department (EDD).
The county unemployment rate in November 2014 was 3.8 percent, which is not seasonally adjusted.
At 8.4 percent, Springfield’s unemployment rate is down from a recent high of 10.2 percent in January.
Eleven counties had unemployment rates at or below 3.5 percent in November. The unemployment rate is derived from a federal survey of 5,500 California households.
Total nonfarm employment increased in November (+4,000). Economists usually give more weight year-to-year comparisons of unadjusted unemployment rates because hiring typically varies by season. The Watertown-Fort Drum area had the highest in the state, at 6.5 percent. It was followed by Fayette, Oldham and Spencer counties, 3.6 percent each; Shelby County, 3.7 percent; Boone, Campbell, Madison and Scott counties, 3.9 percent each; and Anderson, Bullitt, Jessamine, Warren and Washington counties, 4 percent each.
Northampton: 3.3 percent in November, 3.3 percent in October and 3.9 percent a year ago.
Agawam: 4.6 percent in November, 4.4 percent in October and 5.1 percent a year ago. This represents a. 1 percent improvement over each of the months before that.

In Michigan City the rate rose to 6.6 percent, from 6.2 percent in October (8.1 percent in November 2014).
