Murray shrugged off a slow start, which saw him save four break points in his opening service game, to coast home in 65 minutes. He survived two match points for the first time since 2012 in Shanghai and he has won 51 out of 54 matches this year.
World number one Serena Williams continued her dominance over Germany’s Andrea Petkovic with a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the third round of the WTA Rogers Cup on Thursday.
“I thought I played a good match; returned well”, said Murray.
“Today I was nearly dominating everything so I’m very happy”. Nishikori made a successful comeback last week after a long-running thigh injury and said that his fitness is good.
“I know what I need to do, and that’s playing my best in order to win”.
With Isner serving for the match there were more boos for Kyrgios who lost his cool again engaging in a heated exchange with a spectator yelling “You’re so tough man, so tough”. The pair clashed in 13 Masters events and the World No 1 has won it on 10 occasions.
Andy Murray swept aside Kei Nishikori 6-3 6-0 to reach the final of the Montreal Masters where he will meet old foe Novak Djokovic on Sunday.
With the win, second-seeded Murray booked his place at The O2 in London, qualifying for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals for the eighth straight year.
“Getting matches is the most important thing right now, hopefully I can get a few more”. “When I come back, I was focused on the same tactic”.
In the second set, Muller was broken three times. Djokovic passed his opinion on the matter after reaching the quarter-finals with a 6-2, 6-1 thrashing of US player Jack Sock, earning his 50th victory of a season which has already yielded six titles. With 24 titles at this level, Djokovic trails only Rafael Nadal (27).
Novak Djokovic of Serbia in action against Ernest Gulbis of Latvia during their quarterfinal match at the Open ATP tennis tournament in Montreal, Canada, 14 August 2015.
“I’m just going to try to keep my head down in the match and be as competitive as I always am and hopefully play well, and no hard feelings either way at the end”. He’s got that ridiculous 30 match win streak in Masters Series and this close to the US Open he probably doesn’t want to give Andy any ideas or any edge.

Djokovic is the only remaining former champion in the top half of the Montreal draw, along with two unseeded players and the lowest remaining seed in the shape of No16 John Isner. The Serb is also 9-0 against the French national and accordingly there has to be the full expectation that Djokovic will advance to the final.
