More Flight Disruption Due To Heavy Fog
A spokesperson for the airport said there was a “high likelihood” of further disruption to flights on Tuesday.

London City was effectively closed, with visibility down to about 50m, the report added.
“As a result of the poor weather forecast at London Heathrow, the airport authorities and air traffic control have for a third consecutive day requested airlines to reduce their schedules on Tuesday morning to maintain safety”, BA said.
Dozens of flights have already been cancelled and others delayed due to low visibility from heavy fog.
“We’ve got extra passenger ambassadors in the terminals to provide assistance for those travelling today”.

A driver died and a five-year-old girl was injured on Sunday when a vehicle apparently hit a tree in thick fog in Uttoxeter, central England.
A Manchester Airport spokesman said: “Like much of the United Kingdom, Manchester Airport has been affected by the fog and low visibility over the past couple of days”.
Many flights between London and Scotland were cancelled or heavily delayed.

Motorists have been told to take care on the roads and Highways England has urged people to allow more time for their journeys.
Met Eireann has not issued any weather warnings but predicts that the mist will thicken to fog in a few parts of the country tonight.
