U.S. sensation Simone Biles added the Olympic women’s all-around to her team title for a second gymnastics gold title in Rio on Thursday.

Biles finished 2.1 points ahead of Raisman, wrapping up the title with a dynamic floor routine which included her signature tumbling “Biles” move named after her.

This summer, Biles has her sights set on becoming the first female gymnast to take home five Olympic gold medals at one Olympics event. “I don’t even know who Lilly King is”, Gatlin said.

She spoke of the difficulty in being a rare black swimmer on the American team, how it has attracted positive attention but at the same time brought a burden.

Women’s soccer enters the quarterfinals and the U.S. plays a win-or-go-home game against Sweden on NBCSN at noon (ET). “I’m not the next Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps, I’m the first Simone Biles”. She came from behind in the final 50 meters, and her reaction says it all.

Simone Biles doesn’t need much encouragement to either take a selfie in the athletes’ village, or to post it on her social media accounts. It just so happened to be gold after its rugby sevens team destroyed Great Britain 43-7 on Thursday evening.

“This medal is not just for me”.

Biles qualified for the all-around competition after receiving scores of 15.6 on beam, 15.7 on floor, 16.0 on vault and 15.0 on uneven bars in the qualifying rounds of the Rio Olympic Games.

Thursday’s win was Biles 2nd gold medal, the first coming when Team USA won the gold on Tuesday. Raised by her grandmother and grandfather, she was encouraged not to allow anything or anyone to stop her from attaining success. If you go all the way back to the beginning of time, or close to it, there was an ancient Greek who competed in the Olympics – Leonidas of Rhodes. Phelps now has 13 across four Olympics.
