More high-res shots of purported iPhone 7 casing
With each passing year, it’s becoming increasingly hard for smartphone makers to keep their unannounced next-generation handsets out of the public’s eye. iPhone 7 has been in the news for a while, but no update has been revealed by Apple so far. That initial report claimed what sounded unthinkable at the time, that Apple would drop the standard 3.5 mm headphone port and instead use its Lightning port for charging, data transfer and audio. It’s expected the iPhone 7 (assuming its not called the iPhone 6SE as some rumors suggest) will be similar to the iPhone 6S. According to Forbes, Evan Blass has confirmed that the previously rumored launch date is true and that iPhone 7 will be debuting on september 7, with Blass stating that the Cupertino giant really loves Wednesdays.
Now, as with any leak – whether iPhone 7 related or otherwise – it’s obviously worth taking this diagram with the proverbial pinch of salt. It appears that Apple will introduce a new space black hue to replace space gray. Although it was rumoured that the iPhone 7 might not have clickable home button but there is a small cutout for the physical home button. What makes this entry interesting is because it is also found at the back of the device per the schematic representation of the iPhone 7’s rear.

Apple’s hardware team, though known for pushing an aesthetic of form matching function, is also swayed by cleanliness of design, and it’s not too far-fetched to imagine holes being punched in where they needn’t specifically be required just to leave the iPhone 7 looking better at a casual glance. Though, these photos are just the gold model.
