More misery for absent Mourinho as Chelsea flop again
Chelsea FC are also reported to have been in contact with another of their former managers Carlo Ancelotti, but the Premier League victor seems to have been more intent on joining a long-term job.

Asked about Mourinho’s position, goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who did speak to TV reporters, told the BBC: “That is out of our hands, we are behind the manager – you can see that from our performances”. We deserved to win it, I think, but we lost.
It was a much improved performance for Chelsea from recent league games but it was still a seventh league defeat this season leaving them two places above the relegation zone.
“His spirit and his presence is always there, he was always around us and prepared us well for the game and we wanted to get a result for him, so that was a pity”. Chelsea is off to the worst start of any reigning Premier League champion ever.
“What is going well is that the team is together, everyone understands the situation we are in and we will try to be more together and work hard to make this situation better”. However, things got really messed up once again for the Blues, who were good in the game with their play, yet failed to produce a result once again.
Jose Mourinho didn’t want to sign Chelsea forward Pedro Rodriguez in the summer, according to Johnny Giles. “We will try to recover points which we lost up to now”.
“But at the same time, when you see that league table it just looks unrecognisable to Chelsea supporters or anyone involved in the club. The only thing I can say is that until my last day in this club – four years, 10 years, 15 years, it doesn’t matter – until my last day I will give everything for them”.

“I think the next few weeks will be really important, especially over the global break – there’s a lot of time for people to reflect on how the season has gone”.
