More Quests and Bounties coming in Destiny
When Destiny: The Taken King launches on September 15, Destiny will be updated to version 2.0 and Creative Director Luke Smith revealed that there will be big changes to Guns, Balance, Progression, Destinations, Enemies, Quests, and more.

Bungie will be increasing the number of Bounties players can carry in Destiny: The Taken King, but they won’t be throwing out Year One content to get the job done. There’s a high-level overview of the current quests available along with an indicator of what step in the quest line the player is now at. At the end of an exotic weapon quest, players received rewards that they cared about, and many Guardians took satisfaction in earning the exotic loot.
While it might seem like a minor change, it’s a move that’ll widen the number of activities players can be engaged with at any one time. In many ways, these were the earliest tendrils of how we’d come to think about Quests in Destiny. Quests are an arrangement of activities and challenges that tell a story and represent a journey to the player. A recent update from Bungie let us in on how quests will be implemented in the upcoming expansion. It’s also clear that Destiny players will be able to hold many Quests as there is room for 32.
Some of the highlights of the Quests page include an increase to Bounty slots; tracking both Quests and Bounties in the HUD; turning in completed Bounties from the Quests Page rather than returning to the Tower; and shifting the Reputation gain status from the Inventory page to the Quests page. One of the big cosmetic changes will be to the way quests are handed out and managed, which comes as welcome news for folks who like to keep up with their Guardians progress on the fly.

Bungie is done looking back on the first year of Destiny, instead looking toward the future. With little more than two months to go and Gamescom arriving in August, fans probably won’t have to wait very long for even more Taken King information.
