It’s best to stick to reputable, well-known companies. A few milion at least and that’s at any given minute.

But Cyber Monday sales tend to ramp up through the day, so ChannelAdvisor posits that at its current pace, this year’s event is still on track to break records and become the largest online sales day of 2015.

Lars Perner, an associate professor at USC and an expert on consumer behavior, said that the rise of Cyber Monday has happened naturally, as Internet use access across the United States has increased over the last ten years.

Many retail outlets are offering deals that are better than Black Friday, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do your homework.

More and more people are shopping on their mobile devices, but remember they’re like a mini computer and they need consistent security updates.

Online shopping can often trump store visits by giving consumers the freedom to shop whenever they want without leaving the house. As such, Cyber Monday shopping might not hold its allure for long.

121.3 million people are expected to shop online for Cyber Monday deals, according to the National Retail Federation.

To encourage holiday shoppers, it offered free shipping through the Thanksgiving weekend.

Those increases were helped by many retailers starting holiday discounts early, such as Amazon opening its Black Friday storefront on November 2 this year, just days after Halloween.

“Deal of the day” is a tagline that embodies Cyber Monday and all those consumers who look forward to finding some great deals without stepping foot in a packed shopping mall.

“Shoppers have seen promotions roll out for the past several weeks, but if the price is right on Cyber Monday, they’ll definitely show up ready to spend”, NRF CEO Matthew Shay said.

Cyber Monday has come and gone, and the lesson for retailers is a familiar one: invest in online. That should be expected, though, since the whole point of Cyber Monday is to get some shopping done when you’re back at work, so there’s no reason to be doing it on your phone. Over the same weekend in 2014, online sales grew 17 percent and were up 8.5 percent on Monday that year. But the value of merchandise was higher for purchases made on tablets, with the average order hitting $140.70, exceeding desktop purchases averaging $138.30, and smartphone buys of $111.29, according to IBM.
