– The Coast Guard says its crews are helping local authorities evacuate hundreds of people from a burning ferry off the coast of Puerto Rico.

No injuries have been reported and no one is missing, Coast Guard spokesman Ricardo Castrodad said in a phone interview.

The vessel docked safely in Puerto Rico after the blaze broke out, police said.

Photos show the boat, named Caribbean Fantasy, with smoke billowing from its deck.

More than 500 people were evacuated from an America Cruise Ferries cruise that caught Wednesday.

The USCG first received a 911 call at 7.42 am their time, with reports that a fire had started in the ship’s engine room.
