Schools with the highest achievers in this year’s Leaving Cert results are from Cos Dublin, Cork and Mayo.

Students who do not get the results they want this morning are being reminded that there is plenty of options available for them to pursue their career or interest of choice.
It is a nervous morning for tens of thousands of students as well their families.
She said it was also encouraging to see a rise in the number of students taking science subjects and achieving good results, adding that this would help meed the need for these skills in the labour market. PIN numbers have been made available through schools or have been sent directly to external candidates.
Minister Damien English congratulated the Meath Leaving Certificate students. “Both are an invaluable source of support for students as they go through the senior cycle, and I know that many of them are as anxious as the students opening up their results envelopes”.
“Many of the best and brightest entrepreneurs have been people who dropped out of colleges and courses, so it is an exciting time and there is really a wide range of options”.
1,340 leaving cert students across Clare are set receive their results this morning.
“So the students are absolutely wonderful, there is more to life than points”.
