More Women Accuse Fox News CEO Roger Ailes Of Sexual Harassment
Ailes’ lawyers filed a motion Friday in the federal New Jersey court where Carlson filed her lawsuit, attempting to have the suit submitted as arbitration, which would allow the two parties to settle the dispute outside of court.

What is the most popular show on Fox News?
Days after former news anchor Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit accusing Fox News CEO and Chairman Roger Ailes of sexual harassment and retaliation, several other women have come forward with similar claims. In an interview with Marie Claire, Carlson’s attorney Nancy Erika Smith dismissed his statement as false. Fox News said it has “full confidence” in its CEO. All women claim, with the counsel of Carlson’s attorney, that he made sexual advances towards them. When Fox did not commence any negotiations to renew her contract, Ms. Carlson became aware that her career with the network was likely over and conveniently began to pursue a lawsuit. Carlson’s suit prompted six other women to come forward this past weekend with allegations about sexually-charged encounters with Ailes dating back to the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, although only two went on the record to NY magazine with their full names. “This defamatory lawsuit is not only offensive, it is wholly without merit and will be vigorously defended”. According to the official complaint, in 2013, Carlson spoke to Ailes about problems she was having with Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy. “Ailes in a memo obtained by lawnews.com that we’ve confirmed told the top executive that, quote: “I met with Gretchen last night, and I think we’ll give it another chance”, ticking off the opportunities she had requested”. She declined but still got a part on the show. “As you may have heard, I am no longer with Fox News”, the 50-year-old journalist shared on Twitter and Facebook.

One, Kellie Boyle, alleges that Ailes propositioned her in 1989 after learning she was to sign a contract with the National Republican Congressional Committee. However, current female employees saying they’ve never been sexually harassed by their boss doesn’t negate other women’s claims against him. “I am extremely proud of my accomplishments at Fox News and for keeping our loyal viewers engaged and informed on events and news topics of the day”. Greta Van Susteren said, “If Roger Ailes were how he’s described, there’s no way I would’ve stuck around”.
