WASHINGTON The U.S. political battle over the Iran nuclear agreement has gone Hollywood, thanks to a new video strongly backing the deal featuring boldface names from Jack Black and Morgan Freeman to former spy Valerie Plame and Jordan’s Queen Noor.

He testified today along with Secretary of State John Kerry and three other Cabinet members.

Superimposed on each video is a link to a site called Act to Impact, which takes viewers to an online form in which they can email their congressional representatives with two versions of a letter that urge a “no” vote.

American Amir Hekmati has been held in Iran since 2011.

The most watched video in the series is “Super Power Poker – Live From Iran”, a cartoon depicting a poker match between Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khameini, US President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi King Salman. The administration’s goal is to ensure it has enough Democratic votes to sustain the veto.

Earnest described the conversation with House Democrats as “taking on directly some of the most common criticism of the agreement” and also noted his interest in having one-on-one meetings.

The White House did not provide a list of all the groups on the call.

“I will continue to listen to all sides as our nation collectively considers the merits of this agreement”. We are also optimistic that this diplomatic breakthrough will help advance economic opportunities for the Iranian people and enable new opportunities to advance human rights in Iran.

“Spending time with individual members of Congress and answering their questions directly, again, I think is an indication that the president feels a personal responsibility to engage with members of Congress who are keeping an open mind”, he said. “During this time, weapons inspectors at the global Atomic Energy Agency will be verifying that Iran is following through with what it has pledged to do under this deal”.
