However, publisher Warner Bros. announced that “Mortal Kombat XL” and “Kombat Pack 2” will be released to PC players through Steam, despite previous hesitations and announcements a year ago that the game won’t be released for PC.

Although the imminent arrival of “Mortal Kombat XL” was already teased by its co-creator Ed Boon on his Twitter account earlier, it was only recently that it was confirmed that it is, indeed, heading to the said platform.

Characters from the first Kombat Pack are also available with the package.

The port of “Mortal Kombat X” for PC is welcome news for hardcore players of the game.

“Mortal Kombat XL” will include “Kombat Pack 2”, which contains newbie Triborg (think Cyrax, Robot Smoke, and Sektor rolled into one), Leather face from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, returning face Bo’ Rai Cho, and the Alien xenomorph – the latter of which is considered the coolest of the lot.

“Mortal Kombat XL” is also set to bring the four characters from “Kombat Pack 1”.

Are you glad that Mortal Kombat XL is coming to PC?

Players who anticipate for “Kombat XL” can go to “Mortal Kombat X” Steam page and sign up free-of-charge.

Current owners of Mortal Kombat X on Steam will get a free update on October 4 that fixes all problems with netcode and stability.

WB Games has been giving players the run around with PC support as of late, but it looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
