WB Games and Netherrealm Studios have announced the upcoming release of Mortal Kombat XL. It even made the NPD’s list of 2015’s best-selling games.

Mortal Kombat X was, in a lot of ways, a new beginning. Soon though, the game could once again be selling big as publisher Warner Bros.

Mortal Kombat XL will be available in Europe March 4 on PS4 and Xbox One.

What’s more, as those packs include playable characters for the xenomorph from Alien and Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface, alongside the Predator and Friday the 13th’s Jason Vorhees from the first Kombat Pack, you can set yourself up for some bloody, horror movie battles.

You also get the four-armed Goro, and a whole bunch of character skins, including a “cos-play pack” if you pre-order – which seems to allow you to dress up characters in other fighters’ costumes.

The original version of Mortal Kombat X was a bit hit previous year.

The only thing that’s odd about Mortal Kombat XL’s reveal is that it already has a release date…and yet, the core game’s second DLC pack doesn’t. And if it is getting more DLC, then those who buy the XL version may feel like they’re being duped.
