Kanye West, 38, may be gearing up to make a huge comeback in 2016, but his pal and collaborator, Mos Def (Yasiin Bey), is saying goodbye to a career in the music industry.

Apleni says the only organisational documents recognised by South Africa are from the United Nations, African Union, Southern African Development Community and the African Development Bank. Following the arrest for use of a false passport, the rapper and actor now has 14 days to leave South Africa. He opened by referring to Kanye’s latest single “No More Parties In L.A”. He claims he’s being prevented from leaving, and that the authorities want to deport his family.

The artist has traveled to perform at gigs around the world in recent years, though it is not clear which passport he used to do so. “It’s curious. I haven’t broken any law, and I’m being treated like a criminal”.

“At this present time, I am now in Capetown, South Africa”. “There’s no reason I had to have police come to my house. The state of South Africa is interfering with my ability to move and to fulfill my professional obligations unnecessarily”.

“As a democratic state which is so indebted to the global community for its trajectory of freedom, democracy and justice, we have no reason whatsoever to do anything consciously to undermine any person’s human rights”.

He also announces that he is quitting the music industry and film industry, active immediately, although a final album will drop later in the year. Well, at least we’ll get one more album?!
