Moses Out to Prove Mourinho Wrong and Cement Chelsea Place
The Nigerian global who spent last three seasons on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United was on target in the Blues’ 3-2 League Cup victory over Bristol City on Tuesday – his first goal in three and a half years for the Roman Army.

Chelsea face Burnley next in the Premier League on Saturday, August 27 and Moses believes it’s going to be a hard game.
Victor Moses believes his Chelsea career can achieve a belated take-off under Antonio Conte and is keen to prove he deserves a place at the Bridge.
He however featured in Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Bristol City in the League Cup, where he scored one of the goals for the Blues.
Speaking after the game, Moses says he wants to enjoy himself this season and score more goals.
‘To be honest every pre-season I feel I’ve done well and it’s just about being given a chance. We can concentrate on the Premier League and the cups as well. The manager is clear in what he wants us to do and with the ability we have in the side, hopefully we can put that all together and win the game.
“It is the beauty of football, that’s why we all love it, when you can go away to these places with a bit of freedom, take on the game and see what comes your way”.
Moses’ early-season optimism is shared by Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who celebrated his first appearance of the campaign with a fine display in an unfamiliar advanced role just behind Michy Batshuayi, who he set up for his second goal of the night.

“We said at the start that this was the game of Bristol Rovers’ lives and we have to match that in motivation, and we got to 3-1 up but a little lapse in concentration and they are back in the game so it is a lesson to be learned”.
