Mosley wants Mayweather anew

Based on an interview of Joe Habeeb of Tha Boxing Voice to Bob Arum Wednesday, July 29, Manny Pacquiao could still fight before the end of the year.

Criticism plagued undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. after he chose the considerably “weaker” Andre Berto as his opponent for his September 12 match.

She’s clearly referring to Chef Q – who’s been handling Mayweather’s food for a while – and recently told us Floyd’s been indulging on all sorts of kick-ass candies during training camp.

I have made it clear to Eddie that I want this fight to be a big fight worldwide, not just in the UK.

With Amir Khan looking like he will, again, lose out on the Mayweather sweepstakes, he’s turning his attention towards 2016 where he is hoping to put together a very big year. I want to look back and say “I fought the likes of Marcos Maidana and Barrera and won”. But one thing is for sure, it is hard to believe that this would be Mayweather’s last fight. “What he got to prove”.

Mayweather’s uncle and trainer Jeff said that Khan “got under Floyd’s skin enough for him” to decide that he will not give the current WBC Silver welterweight titlist the chance to face in the ring. “I think Mayweather is using this [fight with Berto] as a tuneup, and then he’s going to give Manny Pacquiao a rematch”.

He continued: “I told him Kell needs to fight a couple of big names and beat them, obviously”. And he’s like, ‘I’m Money Mayweather, I’m giving you me on free TV.

If Mayweather were to win that fight his record would be 49-0 and calls for a 50th fight would grow louder.

Although nothing is set in stone yet, but according to roaming rumors, the Berto vs Mayweather September fight is nearly a done deal.

Now that is certainly an admirable career record, but considering this is thought to be the final fight for a man proclaimed as the “pound for pound” best fighter in the world, it is simply not up to par.

Forbes even quoted the fight a major disappointment in the boxing history if it will indeed happen. Floyd Mayweather is close to 37 years of age and he is clearly not as agile as he was a decade or so ago. The morning after Pacquiao took apart Miguel Cotto, Mayweather vs. Pacquiao was a legitimate super-fight.

The issue came to light when TMZ Sports disclosed that the fight between Berto and Mayweather has been finally made official.

Business Insider reported that the theory of Smith makes sense, with Mayweather ending his career in a rematch against Pacquiao.
