Clinton attacked Sanders on his belief that gun manufacturers should not be held liable for the actions of someone who acts criminally with a weapon, which Sanders responded to in a relaxed manner standing behind what he has previously said.

Clinton and Sanders are squaring off in Flint, Michigan – the site of a water crisis that has led both to call for federal involvement – ahead of Michigan’s Tuesday primary.

Clinton said she prays on a pretty regular basis throughout the day because she needs God’s strength and support.

Sanders has urged Michigan’s Republican governor, Rick Snyder, to resign over his handling of the crisis, faulting him for a “dereliction of duty”.

The Maine Democratic Party counted ballots as the two candidates debated in Flint, Mich.

“Sanders has said his support for the 2005 law was in part an effort to protect small gun shops in his home state of Vermont”.

Polls predicted Democratic Michiganders would choose Clinton, including a Detroit Free Press poll showing strong support among white voters as well as black voters, who make up about 14 percent of the state’s population.

Sanders touted the voter turnout in Kansas, where he beat Clinton 68 percent to 32 percent. “It is raining lead in Flint and the state is derelict in not coming forward with the money that is required”.

“In a few days, political candidates will be leaving #Flint and MI”, he wrote.

Clinton, in particular, was on track to win a majority of Democratic delegates from the Saturday races despite losing two out of three to Sanders.

The hot topic in MI is the Flint water crisis, and Crane says although both candidates acknowledge that, they differ on how to handle it. “He voted against the money that ended up saving the auto industry”. Sanders had difficulty overcoming his opposition to the Wall Street bailout. They went to Congress and they said, “Oh please, we’ll be good boys, bail us out”.

Where is the debate being held?

Sanders said Sunday on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos ” that “we have a path toward victory” signaling, at least for now, that he is in the race for the long haul.

Still, Sanders won Kansas and Nebraska on Saturday. We can only hope if the moderators fail to ask the candidates about this topic, Clinton and Sanders will take it upon themselves to vocalize their opinions on it in the next debate for the Dems, taking place this Wednesday night in Miami.

“People think he’s far left, but he’s just for the people, ” she said.
