Motörhead Frontman Lemmy Kilmister Dead after Battle with Cancer
Dee admits he had been anxious about Lemmy’s health for some time as the hard-living rocker, who had a hematoma and was fitted with a defibrillator to correct an irregular heartbeat in 2013, had been struggling through their recent tour of Europe.

Grohl and Kilmister were good friends and frequent collaborators, so Dave thought it only fitting to get the band’s ace of spades logo inked.
There will be no more Motörhead without the band’s legendary Lemmy Kilmister, who passed away earlier this week due to cancer. “It’s my life and I want to have fun with it”. Very rarely, some people can. Lemmy was Motörhead. We won’t be doing any more tours or anything.
Ozzy Osbourne has recalled his times with former “king of partying” Lemmy in a touching tribute to the star, who died on Monday.
“There is no easy way to say this…our mighty, noble friend Lemmy passed away today after a short battle with an extremely aggressive cancer”, the post begins.
He said: “I phoned [Lemmy] up, and I couldn’t make out one word he was saying”.
“So my wife and I were just about leaving the door and the text came saying he’d gone”. We were like ‘Wow.’ He must have been suffering for a while.

While Todd recommended keeping the news private, Lemmy, 70, insisted that he wanted to let his fans know what was going on but sadly he died before he had the chance. “He lived the rock & roll lifestyle to the max, but still it’s sad when you lose a friend like that”.
