But at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night, he was Chris Christie the prosecutor. All of them put Hillary Clinton on trial before a jury of thousands of GOP delegates, with Christie as the lead attorney.

Christie then ticked down his reasons that Clinton should be taken out of contention for the White House.
He claimed Clinton as Secretary of State emboldened al Qaeda in Nigeria and failed to block terrorists from gaining ground in Libya. “Lock her up!” Christie asked them “to hold on a few minutes, we’ll get there”.
“Guilty!” the crowd unfailingly replied. It kicked off after the Trump campaign struggled to respond on Tuesday to accusations Melania Trump cribbed her Monday night address from Michelle Obama’s 2008 speech to the Democratic National Convention. He says he can’t support Clinton, given her politics and her handling of classified information.
“As an very bad judge of the character of a dictator and butcher in the Middle East, is she guilty or not guilty?” he shouted in reference to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
His message, however, hasn’t penetrated his small Republican bloc in New Jersey, which has moved in lockstep with him for the last six years.
CBS2’s Kramer reported the talk at the convention is that the selection of Pence may doom Christie to always being the bridesmaid, and not the bride.
“I don’t think a lot of his supporters even understand what he’s actually offering”, she said.
Hours later, Bramnick beamed on the convention floor standing next to Christie’s son Andrew as he announced that New Jersey’s 51 delegates were voting for him to become the party’s nominee.

Bracketing Trump, the presumptive Democratic nominee said “last night in Cleveland was surreal”, prompting a chorus of boos at the mention of her Republican rival’s name.
