The Wilson’s white 2010 four-door Chevy Impala is missing – it has the license number: 903 0980.
“It appears that there was forced entry into the residence”, the statement said. The vehicle has an IL registration of 903 0980.
Investigators say they died from “apparent blunt force trauma”.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department is now heading the investigation which it is calling nothing more than a death investigation right now. Police stopped short of specifically referring to the deaths as homicides in the news release, but several media outlets are reporting the deaths as a double homicide Tuesday morning. The home backs up to the Great Western Trail.
UPDATE (8/16/16, 4:00 a.m.): Authorities in DeKalb County have identified the two people, said to be an elderly mother and her son, found killed in rural Sycamore on Monday night.
Call the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office at 815-895-2155 or Crime Stoppers at 815-895-3272 with any information pertaining to the incident.
