Mother Teresa closer to sainthood
“The Holy Father has authorised the Congregation for the Causes of Saints to proclaim the decree concerning the miracle attributed to the intercession of blessed Mother Teresa”, the Vatican said on Friday.

Though the exact date is yet to be finalised, Sunita Kumar said Mother’s canonisation is likely to take place around September, 2016.
“Her canonization to sainthood will bring hope and joy to everyone who dedicates oneself at the service of poor”, he said.
Mother Teresa second miracle involved the inexplicable healing of a Brazilian man who was suffering from a viral brain infection that resulted in multiple abscesses with hydrocephalus, according to Church officials.
She founded Missionaries of Charity, which helped poor people living in Calcutta at first before spreading internationally.
Mother Teresa was born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu of Albanian parents in Macedonia in 1910 in what was then part of the Ottoman Empire.

During the beatification process, the Vatican called on Hitchens to play the ancient role of “devil’s advocate” and present arguments against her being blessed.
