Moto G4 Plus benchmark reveals even more specs

The new-generation Moto X is not expected until June, so the events later this month will likely serve as launch venues for the new Moto G4 series. The company’s mid-range Moto G4 Plus was one of the first images to leak and it confirmed what a Lenovo executive said in January, that all 2016 Moto branded smartphones would ship with a fingerprint scanner.

According to the listing, the Moto G4 will be running under a Snapdragon 617 chipset and have an octa-core CPU of unknown speed. The phone will also come 3GB of RAM.

These exchange offers are only available on Flipkart, and not on Amazon India. The more expensive Vector Thin is in all probability likely to be launched with a 2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and an Adreno 530 graphics processor. Both devices are expected to come with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box. As the launch date nears, the unannounced smartphone has showed up on Geekbench benchmarking website revealing some key specifications.

The details on the Moto by Lenovo device are unclear at the moment but the above picture should be able to give us a rough idea on how the smartphone will look like when released. It might also skimp a bit on specs, offering just 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 13-megapixel primary camera. Both smartphones believe to have sport NFC connectivity.

The smartphone has a full HD 5.5-inch display with a pixel density of 403 PPI. Looking at the differences it seems the larger of the two will include a fingerprint sensor as well as a front-facing flash, and of course a larger display.

The Moto Gs were undeniably one of Motorola’s most popular mobile device lines, at least if you take raw sales volume as a measure of popularity, which we would.
