Motorola Moto G (3rd gen) Devices in India gets Android Marshmallow Update!
Motorola India wrote on Twitter. Now its Motorola G3 turn to get updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Since its arrival in August 2015, Android’s Marshmallow update is eagerly awaited on many top-selling phones that were launched in the first half of 2015.

Motorola make Moto G (3rd Generation) phones in India are getting upgraded to Android’s latest version 6.0 aka Marshmallow, as per the company’s recent tweet.
We also remind you that this update is now rolled out in India only, but other countries will follow soon. Motorola too is swiftly releasing the Android 6.0 upgrade for its smartphones from 2014 and 2015. But, it is not clear that how the users will be notified regarding the new update and is there any process for checking the update. The tweet also mentions a reference to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to be released for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices this month. If, however, one does not receive the update notification, one can easily check for the update in a manual manner.
Unfortunately, we’re not sure yet when the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update will be released for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
The Android Marshmallow update for the Moto G 2015 brings all the usual goodies such as “Doze” mode for improved battery life, app standby, customizable app permissions, app links, Google Now on Tap, more intuitive volume controls, and more.
Go to Settings in your Motorola G3 Smartphone.

Recalling the specs of the Moto G third gen, the smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset will sport the Android 5.1.1 OS along with proprietary Motorola features that include Moto Display, Quick Capture and Chop Twice. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 2GB RAM for the storage variants – 8GB and 16GB respectively. It packs in a 2,470 mAh battery and offers 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System.
