Motorola, in all likelihood, is expected to launch the next-gen Moto G handset in India on May 17.

The 32 GB model of the Moto X (2014), the second-gen version of the smartphone, is now being sold for only $200 on the official Motorola website.
There is still no information as to when the device will roll out but there are fans and critics who are confident that the company will launch the upcoming Moto X smartphone in May.
It has been further confirmed that Lenovo will upgrade the Moto brand to Moto by Lenovo due to which the 4 generation Moto G will launch with a slightly different moniker, compared to its predecessors. The G4 Plus will also feature a fingerprint sensor.
Renowned tipster Evan Blass last week tweeted a render of an alleged Moto G4 Plus.
Another Twitter user posted the specs of the devices and said that the devices will be released in May 2016. This means there will be one Moto G4 with regular screen size (likely to be around 5 inches) and there will be one with the screen size of 5.5 inches.
It has previously been claimed that Lenovo will, this time, include a fingerprint sensor on the mid-tier Moto G4. There is a front facing camera and a speaker-grille.
In the battery department, it is likelihood that both the variants will be fuelled by 3000 or 3600mAh batteries with quick charge features and both the phones will run the latest Marshmallow OS.
Two pinholes can also be seen on the front and back of the device, possibly a notification LED and a mic. According to the leakers, the Moto G4 and the G4 Plus will be priced around 240 Euros and 280 Euros, respectively.

A recent benchmark leak suggested that a new phone called Moto XT1650 is in the making, and it is just possible that this might be the 2016 Moto X flagship. However, that’s a little too high for the Moto G smartphones, but people say that prices in Europe have always been higher than elsewhere. If we believe the media reports then May 17 is the date of launch of Moto G handset in India.
