Motorola Moto G Review: Great, Bargain-Priced Android Smartphone

After the announcement last month of Motorola’s newest devices, there were questions surrounding the actual release date of the Moto X Pure Edition.
Moto X Style, known as the “Pure Edition” stateside, will cost $399 for the base model. The Moto X Style is different however and features the latest and greatest smartphone hardware. And for the people in United States, are you planning to get your hands on the Moto X Pure Edition? The Lenovo subsidiary confirmed on Google+ today (and in a tweet that has since been deleted) that the device will be available on September 3rd. The reason is that Motorola is not launching it in collaboration with any U.S carrier; instead it will be available as an unlocked smartphone and free of carrier bloatware hence the ‘Pure Edition’. This year the Moto X will not be available from carriers in the United States, as it has been the past two years, so it won’t be available on-contract at a lower price. The company definitively stated the handset will offer a camera that’s best in class, which is quite a big claim when you consider the kind of quality we’ve seen from the LG G4, Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

In addition, users can configure the phone to their liking, picking the color of the phone’s front and back covers, buy extra shells, decide on one of 10 color choices for the metallic-looking trim and engrave up to 14 characters on the back for $5.
