Lenovo owned Motorola’s Moto G5 Plus is coming to India on March 15.

There are a few things that stay the same, such as battery life and RAM, depending on the G4 Plus model you opt for, and the G5 Plus does have a smaller screen, but overall, the new device makes the changes you’d expect.

As for the Moto G5 Plus, that upgrades in a number of places.

However, both devices come with different processors compared to last year’s model. Lastly, the phone supports 4G LTE, Dual-SIM, and houses a fingerprint reader on the front. The base G5 features a 5-inch Full HD 1080 x 1920 LCD display, while the G5 Plus has a slightly bigger 5.2-inch one. It comes in 2 GB and 3 GB RAM variants. It packs 2/3/4GB RAM with 32/64GB storage options with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. In the little time that I spent with the device, the overall performance was pretty smooth, and much of that comes down to the fact that the smartphone runs on a near-stock Android Nougat 7.0 out-of-the-box.

Whereas, the Moto G5 Plus will reportedly feature a slightly large 5.2-inch Full HD display, 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset, 64GB internal storage space, 12-megapixel rear camera at the back, and a 5-megapixel shooter at the front for selfies and video calling. A single tap, of course, takes you home. But this time the two phones have greater differences. On the camera front, the G5 sports a 13MP unit at the back with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. However, the best sensors of 2016 were also 12MP. They will also come with the Google Assistant built into them which is a welcome move considering these are mid-range smartphones. It essentially acts as a trackpad for on-screen navigation buttons which can be disabled to free up some space on the display. Lenovo announced separately that it’s opted for Amazon Alexa instead for the Moto Z smartphone series, with a supporting Moto Mod planned to launch later this year.
