Motorola Moto Z and Z Force now available exclusively with Verizon

After their announcement back in early June, we now finally know when the Moto Z Droid (above) and Moto Z Force Droid (below) will launch at Verizon. As Lenovo stated at their event in June, both devices are available as Droid Editions first, with the Moto Z heading to other countries and being sold unlocked later this summer. Obviously, if you are someone that needs a display that can’t be shattered, then you’ll want to pony up and get the Moto Z Force Droid (which is only available in the United States and only available at Verizon). Motorola’s latest flagships Moto Z and Moto Z Force will hit the market by September.

Motorola’s Moto E3 is expected to sport a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. Where things differ is in the camera. It should also have an 8MP rear camera while front camera capacity could reach 5MP. Elsewhere, differences lay in the thickness.

The new Moto Z Force is the world’s fastest charging smartphone, delivering up to 15 hours of use in 15 minutes. The smartphone will run stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow and be backed by a 2,800mAh battery. Do the Moto Z and Moto Z Force Droids, and their snap-on Moto Mods, offer anything truly breakout among other Android flagship devices? Where the Moto X line is all about customization and choice, the Moto Z phones focus on premium glass and metal, performance, and a novel new modular system that lets users extend a phone’s functionality in any number of different directions.

The major appeal of the phones, however, is the fact they support Moto Mods that instantly add more features and functions to either of the phones. But for those who’ve wanted to buy the new handsets and their Moto Mods accessories, the wait is nearly over.
