Motorola’s budget Moto G phone: Coming soon in three new flavors

Motorola’s G series has gained popularity due to its modest price and high-end specs. However, for those who feel these two are a bit huge, the company has a third offering in the shape of Moto G4 Play.

This 5.5-inch full HD display smartphone comes with a pixel density of 401 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Anyway, the new phones are the much rumoured Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.

Moving on, the Moto G4 Plus has also been further segregated into two versions. While the company has not yet revealed the pricing for the Moto G4, it will be available in 16 GB capacity and will go on sale on Amazon India next month. The £199 Moto G Plus, meanwhile, will come out in mid-June, with Amazon bagging exclusive rights to the handset.

Daily Star Online has just had our hands on the new devices and we’ll bring you our thought soon.

As for the Moto G Play, it has a slower quad-core Snapdragon 810 processor, a smaller 2,800 mAh battery, an inferior 8 MP camera and only 8 GB and 16 GB options in terms of internal storage. They will include a pico projector, stereo speakers, and a camera grip with optical zoom lens. And it boosts performance by running a pure, clutter-free version of Android.

Lenovo has taken the wraps off the new Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus at a media event in New Delhi, India.

Despite what the name might imply, the Moto G Play is more of the stripped-down and basic of the bunch. There’s 16/32GB of internal storage coupled with a microSD card slot, a 13MP camera for photos and videos, 5MP front-facing camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery with Turbo Charging support – a way to charge up your handset quickly. Expect the same for the new Moto G, even if it has a sharper screen, a longer-life battery, and more-powerful components.

While both phones feature 5.5-inch displays, G4 Plus offers slightly more storage, RAM and a better rear camera compared to the G4.

If users pick up the Moto G4 Plus with either 32GB or 64GB of storage, then they’ll get 4GB of RAM.
