Marcus Rashford’s 92nd minute victor continued Mourinho’s flawless start to the Premier League season, with the manner of their victory reminiscent of the kind of wins that used to be secured by Alex Ferguson’s all-conquering United teams. After 92 minutes of hard work in the pouring rain, the 18 year-old’s last gasp goal secured a precious 1-0 victory for The Red Devils… and sparked some insane celebrations.

“I want to keep everyone and we have a very good squad”.

Wayne Rooney broke into laughter as he revealed that Marcus Rashford’s stoppage-time movement had passed him by.

“United now have a two-week break due to the global fixtures and Mourinho says whether Rashford starts the next game will depend on who returns fit”.

He said: “I’m 23 now, so I wanted to come here on a permanent transfer and get settled”.

The club’s winning run ended with a 1-0 defeat by Manchester United on Saturday, prompting Phelan to renew his calls for strengthening the squad before it was too late.

“I saw the way Fellaini and the two central defenders controlled everything long, high and short”, Mourinho explained, as quoted by Goal.com.

“But Sam knows if he needs the kid, he has the kid, but he has so many strikers that this time, he chose not to select him and we respect that”.

Mourinho has enjoyed an excellent start to life at Old Trafford, with United boasting a ideal record from three league games, and winning the Community Shield against Leicester.

“We deserved [to win] and in a more comfortable way”, he said.

“We’ve got to focus on the global break but obviously we have the big game against Manchester City when we come back”.

“I think it’s now a serious time to make those decisions and make those correct calls”. We tried everything during the 90 minutes and it was very exciting to celebrate the victory at the end with the team-mates and the fans who were there supporting us.

Phelan has worked wonders as caretaker boss but believes events over the coming days could shape Hull’s season. These players here need help.

He said: “The players have shown a togetherness and grouped themselves together really well through all the adversity they’ve been through”.
