Mourinho: Arsenal or Liverpool couldn’t buy a Pogba

Paul Pogba has vowed to “kill it” at Manchester United by sending the club back to the summit of English and European football.

“We need to get the best out of him and this will be a process”, he said.

“Cole reckons the most expensive player of all-time will bring the” energy” to the Red Devils midfield which they’ve been lacking for years.

“But I’m back home and it’s something insane”.

Could Monaco’s Fabinho be heading to Old Trafford?

The midfielder has been linked with a host of clubs following Newcastle’s relegation last season, and after an impressive Euro 2016 campaign, the 26-year-old’s valuation has shot up.

The England global has been an integral part of United’s side since Sir Alex Ferguson’s days in charge. The facts don’t support that narrative, though: the stumbling block was a lack of playing time, not an inadequate wage packet. “I was in love with Manchester and I was Mancunian”. “That’s why we may have crossed the £100m bar for the first time”.

Pogba won four Serie A titles and two Italian Cups during his time with Juve. “Pogba, Ibrahimovic, and co. haven’t been signed to finish third or fourth”.

He has said he was destined to return to Manchester United.

The France worldwide has returned to the club where he started his senior career, after joining Juventus in the summer of 2012 for a fee of just £800,000.

Many have argued that Ferguson would’ve acted differently had he properly understood how much potential Pogba had, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing.

The Frenchman made just seven first-team appearances for United, all off the bench.

The fee is reportedly a world record and that has apparently beaten off competition from Real Madrid. It is a reason to be proud with the dimension of the club that can do that and can attract players of this dimension. Pogba joined Juventus from Manchester for about $1 million. In that context, perhaps United have actually got themselves a good deal.

“We have people like Schneiderlin, Herrera, also play as that, they have experience of the Premier League but after that we have No.10s. So I think at adaptation level, he’s not a new player – he’s just a kid back home again”.
