United have paid for allowing Pogba to leave for Juve in 2012, but Ferdinand is confident the 23-year-old can make up for lost time.

“I am delighted to rejoin United”, said the French worldwide.

“Paul is one of the best players in the world and will be a key part of the United team I want to build here for the future”, said Mourinho.

“But I feel it is right to move back to Old Trafford”.

“Juventus will always be a part of me and I will always miss, love and be grateful to the club, the team and especially the supporters”.

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Jose Mourinho said: “It’s wonderful that such a good player is with us”.

Now the France global boasts experience that comes with playing at the top level and winning major trophies, which he wants to continue at a club he always had in his heart.

Pogba is United’s fourth signing since Mourinho replaced Louis van Gaal as manager of the record 20-time English champions.

The France worldwide has signed a five-year deal to become Jose Mourinho’s fourth signing of the summer and seal his place in the record books.

After previously signing the likes of Eric Bertrand Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the addition of the French midfielder promises the fans of a strong campaign and a show of intent by new boss Jose Mourinho.

Pogba will train with his United team-mates for the first time on Tuesday, with Mourinho set to decide whether he will play some role in Sunday’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth.

British rapper Stormzy committed a major fail when he prematurely shared an Adidas video celebrating the news before the £93.2 million transfer deal was finalized.

Having won four Serie A titles with Juventus, Pogba believes it is destiny to return to Old Trafford, though he admitted there was some sadness leaving Italy. There is also the option to extend for a further year.
