Mourinho bans Carneiro from Chelsea matchday bench
Chelsea manager Mourinho was critical of his medical team after they gave treatment to winger Eden Hazard late in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City.

Reports show that although Carneiro will remain in her post as first-team doctor she will no longer be in attendance at games or training sessions. Valdano later said their problems arose as follows: “I couldn’t understand him because he is the antithesis of my sensitivity”.
Mourinho insisted Hazard was merely dealing with tiredness and a knock, but Brukner said that if anyone was at fault it was the player, not the medics.
Leading sports physician Peter Brukner branded Mourinho’s behaviour “absolutely appalling”, while others think he did no wrong. “But my medical department – on an impulse – was naive and left me with eight outfield players in a counter attack after a set piece”.
Brukner, who is now on the Ashes tour with the Australian cricket team, spoke to talkSPORT radio on Wednesday, throwing his full support behind his peer. “A refusal to run onto the pitch would have breached the duty of care required of the medical team to their patient”, as quoted by the Telegraph.
The unexpected target of Mourinho’s ire is the club doctor whose eagerness to race onto the field to treat an apparently injured Chelsea player incensed the Portuguese coach.
Chelsea physio Jon Fearn also came in for criticism from Mourinho over the incident with Hazard and his role is being changed too, but it is Carneiro who appears to be bearing the brunt of the boss’s wrath.
“In the incident against Swansea, the Chelsea medical staff were clearly summoned on by the referee to attend to a player”.
Chelsea only said Wednesday “we don’t comment on internal staffing matters” even as the club is being criticized for seeming to undermine player welfare.

Carneiro took to Facebook following news of her demotion began to circulate, thanking fans for their support. It’s very likely that one such attempt to treat a player on the field last weekend will be her last, however, because José Mourinho is a petulant weiner. “They were doing their job and they’ve been criticised very publicly”.
