Mourinho has warning for Chelsea’s Champions League rivals
Chelsea, the defending champions, enter this weekend’s fixtures in 15th place in the Premier League, 10 places and 10 points behind fifth-placed Spurs.

“When I watch them play it’s no surprise”, Mourinho said ahead of Chelsea’s clash with the Spurs at White Hart Lane, viaSky Sports.
“It is very hard for me to answer but you never know what will happen in the future”. I’d accept it because the team is very good.
Chelsea have Vardy – the Premier League’s leading scorer with 13 – among their strikers under consideration for a January move as they seek to solve their problems in front of goal, with Diego Costa having found the target just four times this season.
The 5-3 victory for Mauricio Pochettino’s men last season represented Spurs’ first triumph against Chelsea in nine attempts, proving the Blues usually have the advantage in this fixture.
“They have good conditions to do a very good work”.
Like Kane, Hoddle started his professional career at Tottenham and the former midfielder would go on to play over 370 games for the Lilywhites, winning two FA Cups and the Uefa Cup during the 1980s. ‘It’s about how we approach the game, we want to implement ourselves and put in a good performance again.
“He was very good with me when I was at Espanyol and he was at Real Madrid”. We played with two number eights. Kane and Hugo Lloris have been tipped to follow those steps since last summer amid speculation linking them with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
Another factor that could play into Mourinho’s hands for this contest is his counterpart’s lack of desire for the game to be played at the time it’s scheduled for.
He said: “Well, I prefer to say that we have to play every match as if we are fighting for the title”.
Mason has been one of the biggest benefits of this new era at Spurs and after an impressing start to the season he believes it is clear the club are in the right direction.
Spurs have been on their unbeaten run a while now, but it’s only in the last couple of weeks where people are seeing them as a threat to the top of the league.

It would take an unprecedented rise, plus numerous rivals dropping points, for Chelsea to retain the title or even to finish in the top four this season.
