“The thing with the bib is done, it’s over”, Costa said.

“There are things that I have to control, but it was an impulse”. I completely trust him’.

Chelsea’s Willian celebrates after scoring the team’s second goal in their 2-0 Champions League win over FC Porto on Wednesday.

“A team struggling so much like we are is not obviously a candidate to win the Champions League”, said Mourinho, twice a victor of the competition as a manager.

Casillas made 725 appearances for Madrid over a 25-year association with the club before joining Porto in July and is hopeful of taking on his former employers in next year’s Super Cup.

But his form has led to suggestions Chelsea are in the market for a new striker, while he has often been linked with a return to Spain.

“Life is full of surprises”.

But asked by El Chiringuito about whether he felt bothered by the Chelsea comments, Casillas said: “You know what happens”.

Chelsea will need to be at the top of their game ahead of their next Premier League clash against table-toppers Leicester City on Monday.

Claudio Ranieri is another coach to have been struck by some low blows from the “Special One”, who has treated the Italian with apparent disdain since replacing him as Chelsea manager in 2004.

“We try to keep a clean sheet but, if we can’t, then we know we will go up the other end and score”.

“But if I were happy with that it would be very ungrateful”.
