Mourinho keeps Costa on bench as Chelsea draw with Spurs
Turning his back on the bench, he tossed his warm-up bib away behind him in disgust.

That prompted £32million Costa to part with his bib, throwing it over his own shoulder in the direction of his manager. It narrowly missed the manager.
“The fact that I want big things, I want to win and I want to win titles and so on is not a question of being humble or not being humble. There’s no issue between me and Diego, it was just a decision”, Mourinho continued.
Costa was dropped after netting just one goal in his last eight Chelsea matches and reacted angrily by tossing his substitute’s bib at Mourinho.
The striker was seen arguing with the Portuguese during the 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League in midweek, a row Mourinho claimed was settled with “a few kisses and cuddles” at half-time. When pressed on the incident post-match, Mourinho downplayed any problems.
“A top player going on the bench, they are not happy”, Mourinho added.
“I always had a lot of confidence in myself”, said Dembele.
“It is a good result, we didn’t have many good chances but Lloris made a good save from me”.
The Chelsea striker was demoted to the bench for the important match against London rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs.
Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho was full of praise of Eden Hazard after the Blues rescued a point at the White Hart Lane against Tottenham in Sunday’s EPL fixture. Do they chase back as much?
“First of all, I think the players are heroes because the effort was unbelievable after a hard week”, Pochettino said.
Yet despite his side’s successful shut out, Mourinho claimed afterwards that it was Spurs who “deserved even more credit” with the clean sheet as Chelsea “were the more unsafe team and had the better chances”.
The point took the champions up to 14th, although Norwich were hosting Arsenal later yesterday.

“Maybe in the past it was different, more people were sure of their spots, but at the moment everyone is capable of playing and that is something I hope will make everyone focus, including myself”. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we go onto a run of good results, because the team was a team”. “It was the best Chelsea performance of the season, against a risky team”.
