Mourinho launches stinging attack on Wenger

Jose Mourinho’s successful first spell at Chelsea was due to the legacy of his predecessor, according to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

The FA announced Tuesday it had accepted Arsenal’s challenge to referee Mike Dean’s decision and withdrawn the three-match suspension as replays showed he didn’t make contact with Costa, but the Brazilian defender has not escaped all punishment.

He said: “If I answer I’m going to be suspended”.

And still enraged by the FA’s decision this week to rescind Gabriel’s red card for retaliation against Costa, he added: “In the rules book it says a few managers can speak about the referees before and after games”. “It is an imaginary list, but clearly there is a list”.

“In this country, one manager is not under pressure”.

“We can not lose matches, we can not be below expectations”.

The Spain global was given a three-match ban for violent conduct and Mourinho appeared to turn his anger on the Arsenal boss. The one who can speak about the referees before the game, after the game, can push people in the technical area, can moan, can cry in the morning in the afternoon, and nothing happens.

And he also claims Ranieri – dubbed the Tinkerman for constantly changing his formation and line-up – deserves more respect for the job he did at Chelsea before Mourinho took over in 2004. Just something that is real and is objective. And I am in the list of managers who get punished before or after the game.

“If I speak about players from other clubs and I ask for suspensions, I am in trouble”. I don’t envy (him). “Good luck to him”.

When asked which “one” manager he was referring to, Mourinho took an obvious stab at Wenger. “You can do that”.

Mourinho declined to comment on that issue.

“It is his opinion”, the Blues boss said. “No critics from me”.

Mourinho must choose between Remy – who, if selected, will face the team he played for while on loan from Queens Park Rangers in the 2013/14 campaign – and Radamel Falcao to lead the line in Costa’s absence on Saturday evening.

“Loic wants to play every game”, Mourinho said.

“I never saw him so much as someone who always changed his teams but somebody finds a name and everyone thinks he is only that”.

“Players don’t think about those things”. You want them just to have hopefully a fair judgement and we will accept what they decide.
