Mourinho: Man Utd were better team; slams ‘ridiculous’ opener
Owen Hargreaves has suggested Jose Mourinho plays a 4-3-1-2 formation if he is to reignite Manchester United’s season.

Two goals in the final seven minutes gave the Hornets a thrilling 3-1 Premier League win over United at Vicarage Road on Sunday, condemning the visitors to their third consecutive defeat in all competitions.
They are seventh with nine points from their opening five games, and lost their opening Europa League game.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Mourinho said he was unaware of the severity of Martial’s injury but insisted that United should have been awarded a free-kick for Britos’s challenge. We have to improve, individually and collectively, that is my job.
“We had that period where, in the stadium, everyone was thinking about Manchester United going on to score a goal and win the game”.
Substitute Camilo Zuniga scored from his first touch and Troy Deeney netted a penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time. I think no controversy.
“Today, you know what happened in the first goal, so we were punished by these mistakes, but I can’t do anything”.
Mourinho believes his team have been punished by a number of unfair refereeing decisions in their recent defeats, claiming they were also harshly treated against Watford.
The Portuguese was clearly unhappy with Watford’s first goal, in which Anthony Martial appeared to be fouled just outside United’s box before Daryl Janmaat picked out the unmarked Capoue to drill past David de Gea.
The United head coach also stated that a few “lucky moments” contributed to the defeat as well.
“The second factor is the referee and I can’t control their mistakes”.
“That is not under my control”.
“It should belong to them and that is what I expect from them – that on Sunday we will try to win the match normal”.
United were level on 62 minutes when Ibrahimovic surged forward from deep, played a one-two with Rashford and narrowly missed the striker with a clipped cross. He will definitely start between the posts for United as they look to get back to winning ways.
He started in a three alongside Paul Pogba and Wayne Rooney, before Mourinho reverted it to a two in the second half, with Rooney further advanced. We get the draw (equaliser) and after that we were the team.

He added: “We started the season very well and had good results”.
