Mourinho not a ‘big shouter’ so far – Rooney

Wayne Rooney has described Jose Mourinho’s low-key approach to life as Manchester United manager but insists the new Old Trafford chief has a fierce will to win.

Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has expressed disappointment with the way his club’s preseason preparations have gone.

Rooney’s Manchester United is facing his only other professional club, Everton, at Old Trafford on Wednesday as he prepares to start his 13th season at Old Trafford.

Pogba will be another massive attacking weapon for United to call upon and it’s going to be fascinating to see how Mourinho-a known pragmatist-accommodates all these talents in his setup.

“We are going to sign one more player, that’s for sure”, he said, as reported by Sky Sports.

Paul Pogba’s protracted transfer saga to United could be coming to an end very soon with reports a deal between the Reds and the player has already been sealed.

“He was 17, almost 18, and before he came into the changing room I said, ‘Listen, this kid, I’ve seen him play for the reserves and youths and he has something'”.

Everton have their final pre-season game on Saturday against Espanyol at Goodison Park before they start their Premier League campaign a week later against Tottenham.

Ferdinand says the consequences of missing out on Pogba’s signature this summer could dent team morale in Mourinho’s dressing room ahead of the new campaign.

Rooney, who was celebrating 12 successful seasons with United, left the pack in the 53rd minute to make way for England teammate Marcus Rashford.

“This one is for Wayne Rooney and for the fans in that perspective to show love for a player who has been magnificent for our club”, he told MUTV. Out of that fee, Raiola will bag £25.1m ($33m) in helping his third client join the Premier League giants.

United will hope to be more purposeful in their play when they take on Leicester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.
