Mourinho: Not possible to retire at Chelsea

Mourinho was sanctioned for comments made following the 3 October loss to Southampton in which he said the referee Robert Madeley was “afraid” to give Chelsea a penalty.

“It’s the FA’s relationship towards me [that needs to change]”, he said.

Many trainees have flattered to deceive at Chelsea and ended up leaving the club but Mourinho does not believe Loftus-Cheek will be one of them.

The FA punishment for Mourinho, issued on Wednesday, said that his ban would be invoked if there is a further breach of FA Rule E3, relating to improper conduct and bringing the game into disrepute. “If you ask me if in the next couple of years I won’t win a title, I say impossible”, Mourinho added. I don’t see the players unhappy when they are together, so I don’t think the national team time is good for them. A £50,000 fine is an absolute disgrace and the possibility of a stadium ban is absolutely astonishing.

“When I compare different people, different behaviors, with similar words, the difference between “afraid” and “weak and naive” is £10,000 and one-match stadium ban”.

“But to say the referee was “weak and naive”, referring to one of the top referees in Europe, we can do”.

Mourinho’s Chelsea side return to Premier League action with a home clash against Aston Villa on Saturday. I had still two more years, so they didn’t have to give me a new contract.

“But it is important for him to understand that he doesn’t need to go to other clubs like I did – he can improve at Chelsea”.

After their last defeat to Southampton at home, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho went on a weird 7 minute rant trying to explain his club’s current crisis.

‘But we can not run away from the reality of the situation. I know the conversation we had two years ago. ‘We are not going to be relegated – in a couple of months we will be in a position we want to be in.

Striker Costa is available again, after serving a three-match retrospective ban for violent conduct, but right-back Branislav Ivanovic is out after suffering a hamstring injury on Serbia duty.

“This time, the first fixture, I watched every match of my players: a few live, some later, but all of them”. Having said that, Villa may also view this as an opportunity to take points off a vulnerable team.
