Mourinho praises Costa but admits striker’s confidence is low
Costa admitted fault in that incident, but refused to rule out the idea of moving back to Madrid, whom he left to join the London club in 2014.

“He (Costa) can slam the door shut again, it’s mighty cold here”, Cerezo said when quizzed on Costa rumours.
“The bib [incident] is in the past”. “I made a mistake, but my relationship with Jose Mourinho is wonderful, and that is that”.
“For the second one he faced the goalkeeper and you could immediately see the lack of confidence because the first thing he did was not to look at the goal, but to look at the linesman”.
“When they sing my name or call me the special one I don’t know what to do and feel a bit embarrassed”.
Costa enjoyed a stellar first campaign at Stamford Bridge and he was crucial to Chelsea dominating the league from start to finish last season, but things have turned sour this term.
“You never know (about a return to Atletico Madrid), look how well Filipe Luis is doing now. I always wish Atletico the best and I always follow them and support them from afar”. There is still a long way to go but we will give it our best.
They did, however, reach the Champions League knockout phase with an impressive 2-0 win over Porto on Wednesday, which has been in part attributed to the decision to drop Cesc Fabregas.
The champions are languishing in 14th place in the Premier League table, having picked up just 15 points from 15 games, with any hope of successfully defending their title in tatters.
“Hopefully we don’t have to play them”, he added.
“We need this win [against Porto] to change the season”.

The need for someone who can score goals from nearly all angles and positions is the need for Chelsea and Bamford would be an excellent recall if Mourinho does bring the Englishman back to the club but knowing Mourinho, he would probably play Willian as a striker in the next game to get the goals.
