Mourinho refuses to overreact after Feyenoord defeat
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has taken aim at the officials after Feyenoord claimed a famous victory in the Europa League group stage opener in Rotterdam. Manchester United will kick off at Watford and you can bet that Jose Mourinho’s side will be looking to get their momentum turned around.

The Red Devils did show more urgency after the break, but were caught cold by Tonny Vilhena’s 79th-minute victor despite suspicions of offside against Nicolai Jorgensen – who provided the assist.
“Obviously when you lose matches then the mood and feeling is not the same”. You lose matches and people are sad and feel it. “I prefer to be six in front than six behind, that is obvious, but as you are saying it’s very early days”. “The last two games we’ve played, we haven’t made the best of starts especially in the first half, and we need to change that”, Shaw told MUTV.
Mourinho said: “I think the game on Sunday will be an independent game”.
“The players are professional, they have to be fit and they have to be mentally strong to play again”. They scored the goal, which I don’t think we deserved.
It was a Tony Vilhena goal 11 minutes from time that handed Feyenoord a famous win but Jones had a big role to play with a few crucial saves in a flawless 90 minutes.
Thursday’s game, when United played without him in a 4-3-3 formation, showed that the alternatives are not always more fruitful.
“When we won the Community Shield and the three Premier League matches, I was not on the moon”, said Mourinho.
“The only thing I can say is that I am a team player. I have made mistakes because I am human and I can do that but what I am not going to do is give up, never”. “I know the situation is not click your fingers and everybody is ideal”, Mourinho was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
The defeat means United have lost four successive European away games in a row for the first time.

“United upped the tempo and used their physical presence in moments of the game, making it very hard for us. Double unlucky because he [Jorgensen] was offside”. “Some of the players were playing their first minutes of the season, not many minutes for them”, Mourinho added. “They had the luck to score in the last part of the game”.
